I couldn't do her story justice so, Jessie is taking over this post to share her shocking boudoir experience in her own words. Plus, she's sharing her biggest fears, advice to you and the unexpected night she had after stepping in front of the camera.
Jessie’s Boudoir Story
"After going through so much drama and negativity, I needed a change to snap out of it. So, I decided that this year was going to be about me. No more drama, negativity, or worrying about what anyone else thinks.
I'd always wanted to do a boudoir shoot and finally decided that I was going to do one for myself and no one else!
My Biggest Fear About Doing A Boudoir Shoot Was...
“Oh sh*t, I have to take my clothes off in front of a stranger!” But Laura made me feel so comfortable that it didn’t bug me at all! I barely thought about it after the first few minutes.
Another worry I had was... "What if I don’t look good in the photos?" I didn’t think I’d know what to do in front of the camera. Laura took care of all of that. She guided me through every pose and captured images that showed the real me looking amazing and confident.
What I Did Not Expect
... was how proud I felt afterward. I left the studio on such a high, not just because of how I looked in the photos, but because I felt so good in my own skin.
I loved the whole shoot experience and getting my hair and make up professionally done, but my favourite part was how I felt after…
What Happened After My Boudoir Photoshoot
I did my shoot on a Saturday, knowing I had plans to go out with my girlfriends that night. After taking about a million selfies of my glam look (lol), I headed out to meet them.
When I walked into the bar, everything changed. The entire place went quiet... and people were staring at me! I loved it!
Younger girls were coming up to me, complimenting how good I looked. When I told them I was 43, they were shocked. And the guys... oh man, I hadn’t had that kind of attention in years. I had guys asking for my number, buying me drinks, and asking me to dance all night long.
I was feeling so good about myself that it showed in my appearance, I guess lol.
My girlfriends were a little jealous of my new 'glow,' and all the attention I was getting, but nothing could ruin the high of my boudoir shoot.
My Boudoir Advice For Anyone Considering Doing A Photoshoot
Months later, I still feel confident and so much better about myself and it shows in everything I do.
