I've been on my self love journey for many years. So, I know what it’s like to stare in the mirror and not love what you see... to battle insecurities, failed relationships and that constant feeling of “I’m not beautiful, worthy or good enough.”
It took me years to embrace my body and believe in my own worth and it's something I still continue to grow at. Sound familiar? Trust me, I get it.
This self-doubt is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about boudoir photography.
I want to help other women see themselves in a new light—right now, not two years from now when you’re looking back at old photos wishing you appreciated yourself more.
Boudoir is a chance to celebrate where you are today and have the photo evidence to back it up. No more waiting for the “perfect body” or for some imaginary moment when you’ll finally feel good enough. You’re already there, and I want to help you see that.
How It All Began
Photography has always been a passion of mine, even as a child. I got my first professional camera in high school, it was a Nikon SLR film - yup, I'm that old. I starting with developing and editing photos in a darkroom.
While I studied photography at UVIC and MRU and always pursued it on the side, I was working in the oil & gas industry. Hey, it's Alberta!
It wasn't until my transformative trip to Africa in 2017 that I took the leap of faith to start pursuing my photography dream full time. Boudoir By Laura Paige Photography was born and the rest is history!
So... Why Boudoir?
Boudoir photography is so much more than just photos; it’s a way to reconnect with yourself and see your beauty in a raw, authentic way. We spend way too much time picking apart our flaws, so we’re conditioned to think we’re not enough — always too big, too small, too old, too… whatever.
The truth is, you’re already beautiful and Boudoir is my way of showing you that... because I know you don't believe me yet. It’s a chance for you to step out of your comfort zone, feel celebrated, and finally see yourself as the confident, powerful woman you are.
I’ve witnessed this transformation so many times in my studio. Women come in nervous, maybe even a little skeptical, but once they’re pampered, celebrated, and they see their final images — everything changes.
They’re not just looking at a photo; they’re seeing themselves in a way they’ve never allowed themselves to before.
